The
Chacabuco Plant triplicates its freezing capacity
reaching 110 metric tons per day. Its cleaning
and freezing lines are automated and production
of Coho Salmon with an added value is initiated,
inaugurating three lines of vacuum packaging.
Thee
new additional salmon farming centers are inaugurated
in Region XI.
PESCANOVA
open commercial offices in Miami, USA, and PESCA
CHILE becomes its main supplier for Salmon, Chilean
Sea bass, Golden Kingklip, Southern Stone Crab,
Orange Roughy and Australis Hake.
PESCA
CHILE certifies all its Punta Arenas plant installations
and process for initiating export of its products

with the addition of liquid ice and filleting machines. |

boultering vessel "Polar Pesca I" is incorporated

Six
new salmon farming centers are inaugurated in Region
XI, among them, an exclusive farming center for
reproducers, amounting to a total of 13 centers

Pesquera
Puerto Montt is incorporated as a sister company,
widening its range of contract-processed products,
with a capacity of 40 metric tons of fresh product
per day and 18 metric tons of frozen product per

Nova Austral S.A., a company owned by GRUPO PESCANOVA
starts its operations in Region XII with its plant
in Porvenir, with a capacity of 15 metric tons per
day, destined for the processing of different fish
and seafood species.

CHILE opens its offices in Tokyo, Japan.
The
vessel "Boston Blenheim" is transformed.
Liquid
ice machines are installed in vessels "Tuamapu"
and "Puyuguapi".
Three
new salmon farming centers are opened in Tierra
del Fuego, becoming this the southernmost farming

|
Productive
processes and installations lay outs of the Chacabuco
Plant are perfected.
The
Chinconal Pisciculture in Region XI starts operations.
The
two PESCA CHILE plants, Pesquera Puerto Montt and
Nova Austral S.A. obtain certifications under the
ISO 9001 quality standard.
PESCA
CHILE associates with the shipping company Naviera
Porvenir S.A. for food transportation to its different
salmon and trout farming centers.
Nova
Austral quadruples its size and initiates salmon
processing.
The
trawler vessel "Saint Pierre" is incorporated
to the shipping fleet.
Construction
of the vessel destined to live salmon transportation
is initiated.
Vessels
"Tierra del Fuego" and "Magallanes
III" factories and installations are transformed.
Six
new salmon farming centers are acquired in Region
XII, reaching with this a total of 25 farming centers
between Regions XI and XII.
Nova Austral enlarges its 80 metric tons per day
capacity of finished product.
The
first salmon harvest in Tierra del Fuego, Region
XII is performed.

2003
|
On
April 14th, Pesca Chile celebrates 20 years since
it was founded (1983). Every plant celebrate with
dinner for their workers and there were rewards
for those who were in the company from 10 to 20
years.
On July, in Asmar Shipyard in Concepcion was baptized
the new wellboat named D.Antonio C. In the ceremony
presided by Mr. Jose Gago, General Manager and CEO,
were present Mr. Felipe Sandoval, Fishing Secretary
and important local authorities.
A wellboat is a ship that will transport fishes
alive from fat centers to the coldstorage plant
in Puerto Chacabuco.
At the end of July, Mr. Ricardo Lagos, Chilean President
visits the Chacabuco Plant. In this ocassion, a
project law regarding artesanal recording of XI
and XII regions and Aquaculture National Politics
was launched. Both acts were carried out in our
company showing the importance that Pesca Chile
has in the fishing and aquaculture area.
A new harvest plant in Puerto Chacabuco begins to
operate and totally finished and installed are fat
center 2 to 5 in Capitan Aracena.
With new ships Porvenir I, Porvenir IV and pontoon
Porvenir VI, Naviera Porvenir starts its operation.
All ships will give services to Pesca Chile's Group.
Pesca Chile move netting operations to Talcahuano,
install a new distribution center and has a new
process contract with a new plant in the zone.
Pesca Chile adds a new boat to the fleet. Trawler
Vessel Saint Pierre has a freezing capacity of 40
tons/day and it is one of the most modern vessel.
Its main fishing objective will be hoki and southern
blue withing. |

2004
|
On
June 24 starts its adventure the new Factory Vessel
Cabo de Hornos. This vessel has 80 meters long,
a freezing warehouse of 1.900 cubic meters and a
frozen capacity of 100 tn. per day. Cabo de Hornos
will catch hoki, southern blue withing, australis
hake and golden kingklip.
Pesca Chile becames the biggest employment company
in the 2 southern regions of our country.
Pesca Chile buys an extra fishing license for Magallanes
II in order to enlarge its fishing grounds to australis
hake and golden kingklip. |

2005
|
Pescanova
Group buys 2 new commercial companies. One is located
in Greece and will be known as Pescanova Hellas
and the other is in Poland, Pescanova Polska spp.
A new fishing boat is incorporated to the Pesca
Chile fleet. This new vessel will be called Diego
Ramirez. This vessel will be carried to Asmar shipyard
to improve its machinery and factory aboard.
Pesca Chile's salmon area in XI region gets ISO
certification 9001 and 14.001.

|
Process
plant in Puerto Chacabuco is enlarged to produce
120 tons/day.
A new Coldstorage plant is building in Puerto Chacabuco
of 1.100 square meters and a capacity of 700 tons.
